Wunsch und Wirklichkeit

Februar 29, 2008

Was so viel heisst wie: ohne Geld kein Kaffee.

Gestern übrigens war es der Arbeitskollege, dem genau dasselbe Missgeschick widerfuhr.

Sollte mir dies nun zu denken geben?

Jogging

Februar 26, 2008

And after jogging there is this body that is so warm, heating from inside out. It nearly feels as good as jogging itself.

So far, I got it done: to go for a jogging round twice a week. The only exception is the weekend I travelled, but that’s I’d say okay.

Spontaneity

Februar 22, 2008

This morning, I decided to go for a check on our mail box impulsively. When I get downstairs, I find a woman before the entrance door, wearing a huge board with a model of some buildings on it. So, it’s me to keep open the door for her.

In the afternoon I leave the office another time, a woman is walking downstairs, apparently leaving for the weekend. She says good-bye and wishes me a pleasant one. The memory of it still makes me smile. This one was a pleasant one. Really.

This Longing for Creativity

Februar 21, 2008

This week the longing for a moment of simply being creative grows stronger and stronger. All this administrative work at the office isn’t satisfying that much. And as I have been unusually tired this week & needed lots more of sleep than for a long time, there is a severe shortage of time that I might actually use for creative endeavours. Hopefully tonight there will be time & space to sit down and write or knit or spin and just enjoying this moment of creating something that hasn’t been there before.

Earthquakes

Februar 20, 2008

Ce tremblement de terre. Je ne crois pas que quelqu’un des autres présents l’aïe perçu, lorsque je prenais ma place près de lui. Mais, lui, je suis presque sûre épiait de très près, si je l’avais discerné.

Socks and socks

Februar 3, 2008

I finished two pairs of them. Love them both.

I call the first pari the Inca socks, because, well, of their colors. I knit them toe up with a round cast on and then increasing the number of stitches gradually. Then I tried to knit the German heel I usually knit from top down to knit in the reverse direction. It worked, although the heel got a little bit short.

It was fun to knit with this yarn. It is so soft and the 6ply helps you with getting them quickly done.

The other pair was nice to knit, too. Also Regia, Atlantis 4ply. I used a broken rib pattern. I wanted to see how the pattern matches with the stripes. Quite well, I find.
